About Angels of Change
Angels of Change is a fundraiser of the CHAMPION FUND to support transgender services housed within The Division of Adolescent Medicine; which has provided healthcare and supportive services specifically designed for trans and gender- nonconforming youth since 1996. The young people in these programs receive specialized services from a team of physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, case managers, and health educators. The Division of Adolescent Medicine has traditionally served youth between the ages of 12 and 24 years old. In 2010, the clinic was expanded to provide services for gender variant children of any age and adolescent and young adults until the age of 25. The Division’s Scope of Practice includes over 240 transgender identified youth, gender variant, gender questioning, and gender spectrum children.
Angels of Change raises the much needed funds to provide vital health care services and promote a positive image of trans youth.
- Empower trans youth to demonstrate leadership in their respective communities by being “Angels of Change”
